In the 1930s and 1940s Wright made numerous versions of the "Whirling Arrow" logo for Taliesin West and the Taliesin Fellowship. It was Wright's interpretation of two hands clasping in a gesture of friendship. It was based on an Indian petroglyph found on a boulder during the construction of Taliesin West in Arizona.
