Usonian stands for United States of North America. These houses were designed to be small, single free-standing houses for "true Americans". The first Usonian house was built in 1936 in Madison, Wisconsin. Wright saw these homes as being an intregal part of his dream of a utopian development he called Broadacre city. Wood mantle clock based on the "board & batten wall style. Solid wood case, light cherry stain, walnut stain base and accent lines. H:6.5" W:9.5" D:2.75"
